This conference facilitates the dissemination of the SIMCARE research findings to the community of health professionals working in the hospital care system. The conference will provide a venue for exchange on all aspects of the methodology and results in health care evaluation using computer simulation.
An important part of CIHR’s mandate is knowledge translation, a dynamic and iterative process that includes the synthesis, dissemination, exchange and application of knowledge to improve the health of Canadians, provide more effective health services and products and strengthen the health care system. This process unfolds within a complex system of interactions between researchers and knowledge-users. It may vary in intensity, complexity and level of engagement depending on the nature of the research and on the needs of the particular knowledge-user.
Scientists, specialists, clinicians and health managers will share their view on the use of computer simulation in evaluating proposed changes for improving the delivery of health services.
